PesaLink is an instant electronic money transfer service within Kenya for local bank to bank account. It is a real time 24-hour Digital money transfer and payment solution that is easy to use, fast, convenient, secure, and affordable. PesaLink is available on SBM bank Online Banking and Mobile App Mfukoni.

Existing SBM Bank account customers and new customers can enroll for the service through our Online or Mobile Banking solutions. Simply login to any of the two digital channels and click on Funds Transfer > PesaLink > Settings> Link Your Phone/Link Account

Yes, you can. You will be required to login to the respective local bank mobile banking to register.

Currently, only customers with bank accounts can access PesaLink on their bank channels.

For SBM Bank, PesaLink is only accessible through a smartphone on mobile banking, Computer/tablet on our Online Banking Channel.

Login into SBM Mfukoni Mobile or Online Banking> Funds Transfer> Pesalink> Select Source Account> Send To Phone> Enter Mobile Number> Enter Amount, Remarks & > OTP & Submit

Login into SBM Mfukoni Mobile or Online Banking> Funds Transfer> Pesalink> Select Source Account > Send To Account > Enter Account, Select from List of Banks, Enter Amount, Remarks> OTP & Submit

NB: Ensure you have the correct account number and bank name.

SBM Bank will send a confirmation SMS of a successful transfer. The recipient will also receive an instant SMS notification from PesaLink with details of the payments, name of the sender and bank.

It should take between 1 to 5 minutes for a PesaLink transaction to be completed.
